How to take good care of your favorite Yankee Candle

How to take good care of your favorite Yankee Candle

Whenever you long for the company of your loved ones or a sweet escape from everyday stress, you often turn to the comforting fragrance of your much loved Yankee Candle. For you to get the most out of it, there are a few things you can do to ensure it lasts and burns correctly.

These tips will surely help you experience the maximum enjoyment and pleasure from your favorite scented candle.

Remove your candle from direct drafts & close nearby windows and doors.

Allow to Pool.

Let the top layer of wax liquefy and pool to the edges to avoid tunneling. We recommend that you burn every 1cm in diameter for 30 minutes—so a Large Jar Candle would be 4 hours.

Trim your wick.

We suggest trimming the wick every 4 hours of burn time. Don’t forget to extinguish the flame, let the candle come to room temperature, and cut the wick to 3mm before relighting.

Use an Illuma-Lid for a clean burn.

Aside from their charming looks, our Illuma-Lid Candle Toppers help steady the flame for a clean and even burn.

Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface.

Use our decorative Candle Shades and Trays to prevent heat damage to your surfaces and encourage an even burn. Use with our Small, Medium, and Large Jar Candles.

Know when to say goodbye.

We never like to see the end of our favorite fragrance, but once your candle wax is 1cm from the bottom, it's officially finished.
