What does Reggio Maria mean
Legio Mariae is a lay apostolate recognized by the Catholic Church. This Latin name means “The Legion of Mary”, and the name and other key terms and organizational forms are derived from those used in ancient Rome, precisely Legio Romae.
The Legion of Mary is a spiritual army established to engage in the battle of the Church against the world and its forces of evil under the powerful leadership of “Our Lady, conceived without original sin”, “the Mediator of all graces”.
Our Lady is in command of this army, and the Legionaries want to entrust themselves to Our Lady, the great Queen of Heaven, with loyalty, virtue and courage.

Reggio's Vexylium

The Legion's Vexillum Legionis was modeled after the standard of the Roman legions. The eagle at the top of this banner was replaced with a dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Under the dove is a badge with the name of our organization, Legio Mariae. Between this emblem and the flagpole, an oval plaque (miracle plaque) representing the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin is placed, and roses and lilies are adorned between them. The flagpole is erected on the globe, and the bottom of the globe is supported by a square pedestal so that the Vexylium can stand on the table. The whole plot in the short term reveals the Holy Spirit taking over the whole world by working through her Virgin Mary and her children.
Since the short term of the Legion is a symbol of the Legion of Mary, the mark of Vexylium must appear on all forms officially used by the Legion.
When all official meetings of the Legion are held, the small altar of the Leging must be set up wherever it is placed.
