Experience has shown that after removing the rear wheel, the original spacer sleeve can easily fall off the seat, and if the wheel is re-installed, such as after a tire change, the standard sleeve tends to tilt, so installation is often “tedious” and a test of patience. The rim spacers we have developed are inserted into the radial shaft seals of the rim and sprocket carrier in place of standard spacers. Due to their structure, they are subsequently secured and reliably prevented from falling out when changing wheels. The spacer sleeves are also heavily chamfered flat, so wheel insertion and assembly is significantly easier and faster to accomplish. Originally developed for racing, they have proven to be very useful, significantly reducing downtime in the box when the wheel has to be removed. We use it regularly on our racing machines when racing, tried and tested. We make wheel spacers out of high-quality aluminum and anodize them to color.
