LABSA is chiefly used in the detergent industry for the manufacture of washing powder, detergent powder, detergent cake, liquid soap, oil soap, scouring bar and cleaning powder. This chemical finds applications in anionic specialty formulations. The quality of pesticide sprays can be improved from it.

USE :Linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid(LABSA) is used in hair shampoo, bath shampoo, dish detergents and complex soap, laundry powder, dishware cleaner in daily chemical industrial,electroplating industry, leather industry, degreasing agents, paper industry”s de-coloring agent.

Linear alkyl benzene (LAB), the material used to produce LABSA, is derived exclusively from petroleum bi- products–benzene and paraffin derived from kerosene. Linear alkyl benzene is the raw material used to manufacture linear alkyl benzene sulphonate (LABSA), an active ingredient in the formulation of detergents.
Adverse Human Health Effects :
The product is a corrosive substance. Contact with the eyes may cause ocular lesions and contact with the skin may cause burns. It is seriously irritating to the mucous if swallowed. The product is harmful if ingested.
