The latest kyusu teapots come in a variety of shapes and patterns that were previously unseen. While they have their own merits, there are also those that pursue the original shape of kyusu. This is the reason why we designed this kyusu.
Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture is the most famous kyusu production center in Japan. It is filled with that much tradition and history.
The tea strainer is made of ceramic and has a coarse mesh, unlike metal ones, so even fine tea leaves may flow out into the teacup. This means that the tea leaves will flow into the teacup and you will be able to enjoy the depth of the tea.
Please wash by hand. If you must, please use baking soda instead of detergent. If tea leaves are stuck in the tea strainer, boil it in boiling water with baking soda and scrub it with a toothbrush to remove them.
